Our Annual summer camp is fast approaching and we hope that everyone is hoping to have a good time.

All cubs that are going to camp please remember that there is a meeting on Tuesday at 6.30pm until 8pm. This is for the cubs going to camp only. Parents are not required at this meeting. Uniform will be required.

Scouts will be leaving the HQ at 9am on Saturday 24th July.
Cubs will be leaving the HQ at 10am on Saturday 24th July.

1st Connahs Quay Scout Group are holding another BBQ Fun Day like the one that we held last year. We have an action packed day ahead for everyone that attends.

Why not try and ‘Beat the Goalie’ with our football game.

A toy dog show – Bring along your best stuffed cuddly dog and the winner will win a prize.

Hot and cold drinks, Burgers and Hotdogs served on the day.

Back by popular demand we have our GIANT WATERSLIDE, so please bring your towel and join in the fun. Adults are also welcome.

Many more tables and games on the day. Please bring your Family and Friends as we plan on having a great time.

Prices for food, drinks, waterslide and some other activities are available on the day.

Starts at 1pm.

Tickets are available from all leaders at a cost of £2 each. The ticket covers a drink and a burger or hotdog.

Our yearly civic service Parade is on Sunday 27th June 2010.

All members to meet outside the Roman Catholic Church, High Street at 10.45am for a 11am start. We will all be dismissed from the new council offices, Fron Road at around 12.30pm.

A big thankyou to the 6 families that turned up to do the sponsored walk. We hope that you really enjoyed the walk and found it very relaxing. The weather did hold off until the afternoon.

The Winners of the First Challenge Cup April 2010

A number of the Explorer Scouts and Ranger Guides attended an Activity Camp at Kibblestone in April. The challenge for this camp was to build a Fire Engine which needed to be portable and unsupported. This was a good challenge and required alot of thinking and designs. The task was to put out a cardboard fire which had been lit by campsite staff. Each Group that attended had a go. A well done must go out to all that attended as Connahs Quay Explorers and Rangers came away with the first Challenge Cup that the campsite has organised.
